Indeed, the year of the Earth Pig is upon us. And what better way to celebrate the Lunar New Year than to wear the lucky colors, right? This year, it is said to be the colors associated with the beneficial energies of the elements Fire and Metal symbolized by the colors: red, pink and orange and white and gold respectively.

On that account, I sported a brick red coat for a hint of luck to kick off the last year of the Chinese zodiac cycle. And also, to contrast the cool Bay Area weather, I paired it with a black textured-knit sweater and jeans ensemble. Perfect.
