Of Pomps And Strange Circumstances

Date set. Regalia ordered. Photos taken. Flights booked. Hotel and car reserved. What could possibly go wrong? Well I guess I spoke too soon and my excitement got the best of me 'cause coronavirus happened. And with the increasing needs generated by the current pandemic as the nation's epicenter, who would have thought that the venue for our commencement ceremony be converted into a COVID-19 field hospital.

Nevertheless, this quarantine did not stop us from celebrating the fruits of our labor through a live virtual commencement last May 17, 2020. A replay is made available by Dominican College's Youtube channel. And to memorialize this momentous milestone, we decided to checkin at a hotel in Long Island while observing social distancing and following CDC's guidelines, of course.

I'm very proud to say, my bestfriend and I made it! We're finally doctors. #friendshipgoals lol

Here are a few #imadeit shots:

Though we're in quarantine mode right now, I'm still thankful to everyone who were present one way or another in that learning chapter. To the Lord Almighty, my family, friends, my mentor Letecia Donalds, professors, and the whole Department of Physical Therapy graduate school faculty, thank you!

Congratulations to us, Class of 2020!

Congratulations, Chargers!

I'm very very hopeful to see everyone in-person with regalias on this time for the second leg of our graduation come fall.
